03/26/2021 – Musical Theatre Vocal Masterclass
Musical Theatre Vocal Masterclass
This class is being held virtually for Spring Semester. It meets Friday evening for 2 hours and runs for 1 week.
Instructor: Kate Fogg
Dates: Friday, March 26th
Class Description: This Musical Theatre Vocal Masterclass will cover contemporary musical theatre singing techniques and common technical obstacles singers of all ages may face. Kate will also lead discussion on ways to warm up the voice and body for performance, healthy belting tips, and how acting can support healthy, effective singing. Participants can bring any song they want to sing for the group (musical theatre or otherwise) and will receive feedback and adjustments. Join us for an evening of fun music, discussion, and growth!
Those who wish to just observe are more than welcome!
Participants should have a karaoke track on a second device (YouTube is fine). (I would also like to know what pieces people are going to be singing before the Masterclass so that I can gather materials/research ahead of time.)
